Valley Fest × Greenpeace

If we’re celebrating on farmland, we have a responsibility to defend it.

Greenpeace doesn’t get a stall at Valley Fest. It gets a stage. On the Sunday the Save Our Scene stage is handed over to the world’s most recognisable environmental organisation — a full day of music, talks and campaigning on a working organic farm above Chew Valley Lake.

The story

A festival on farmland
and the people who defend it

Valley Fest grew out of The Community Farm, a 22-acre organic farm on the shores of Chew Valley Lake. Greenpeace has spent more than fifty years campaigning for the oceans, forests and climate we all share. When the two met, the fit was obvious: a crowd that already cares where things come from, and an organisation that knows how to turn that care into action.

The takeover

The Save Our Scene stage, handed over for the day

On Sunday 2 August 2026 Greenpeace curated the Save Our Scene stage from first act to last encore, presented with the Gloucestershire charity The Music Works. DJ Format, DJ Paulette, Lynks, Gracie Friel, J. Animalism, Mr Bruce, Nuala, RuMac, Chaka, Immi Dash and Tash Sholto played a day that became part of the line-up announcement itself.

  • Greenpeace picks the artists and the message
  • The takeover sits in the line-up, in the press and on the posters
  • Campaign space and conversations between the sets

The campaign

UK wildlife and the farmers who make room for it

Greenpeace used the 2026 stage to launch its campaign for UK wildlife in support of nature-friendly farmers — on a site that is itself a working organic farm, with the fields the campaign is about on every side of the stage.

  • “Festivals bring people together. That collective energy is powerful.” — Adam Gainsborough, Music Booker, Greenpeace
  • A story told on the land it is about, not in a conference room
  • Zero disposable plastic on site, year on year
