Get Involved · Students & Emerging Talent

The Next Generation of Festival Talent.

Play the music. Create the moments. Shape what comes next.

Valley Fest wants to discover and support emerging talent. If you’re a student or an emerging creative — a musician, a photographer, a producer, someone who wants to learn how a festival is put together from the inside — this is the page. Every opportunity below is a real part of running a live festival on an organic farm by Chew Valley Lake, 29 July to 1 August 2027.

Where You Could Fit In

Five ways in. Each has its own route to apply — performers go to our bookings team, everyone else comes through the form on this page.

01Emerging Artists & Musicians

Play Valley Fest

Bands, solo artists, DJs, producers and performers interested in opportunities to play at the festival. Every application is listened to by the people who book our stages.

02Artist Liaison & Live Music Support

Look after the artists

Support artist communications, schedules, hospitality coordination and backstage operations, working under the supervision of our artist liaison team. Calm, organised, good with people.

03Creative & Production Roles

Make the festival look and sound like itself

Photography, videography, graphic design, stage production, content creation and other creative disciplines — before, during and after the festival.

04Marketing & Promotions

Build the audience

Campaigns, social media, publicity, partnerships and audience engagement with our marketing team. If you’re a student, the Student Ambassador programme is the home for this.

05Festival Volunteering

Be part of making it happen

Suitable opportunities to contribute to the event, support its community and understand how a festival operates. Our main steward scheme (shifts in exchange for a ticket) is on the Get Involved page.

?Not sure where you fit

Tell us about you anyway

A general expression of interest is fine. Tell us what you do and what you’d like to learn, and we’ll point you at the right thing when it comes up.

How applications are handled. Everything is reviewed by a person. Opportunities depend on programme requirements, suitability, availability, age requirements (some on-site roles are 18+) and festival operations, so applying doesn’t guarantee a performance slot or a placement. Roles on this page are development opportunities rather than paid positions unless a specific offer says otherwise.

Apply or Register Interest

For performers, the quickest route is the Be Valley artist application — it goes straight to the bookings team. For every other opportunity, or a general expression of interest, use this form. Only the fields we need to assess an application are required; the rest are optional.
