Saturday

The Community Farm Mindfulness (08:30 – 09:30am)

Morning mindfulness and meditation in the Roundhouse; start the morning with a quieter moment of reflection in our natural build roundhouse

Ecowild: Resonance Workshops (10:30am – 11:30)

Indulge your expansive, intuitive mind with this taster of Resonance, the EcoWild course that helps you connect with yourself, others, and the landscape around you. Includes discussion, play, guided meditation and connecting with nature. Based on the decades old “the Work That Reconnects” by respected spiritual scholar Joanna Macey. For more info on Resonance see ecowild.org.uk/resonance

Bird Feeder Making (for Kids) (12:00 – 13:00)

Walk around the farm to see some of the places the wild birds we have attracted back to the farm live, and learn about all that we do for wildlife, followed by a session in the roundhouse to make natural bird feeders using organic bird seed mix, peanut butter and orange halves. This workshop is aimed at children.

From loam to lunch (14:00 – 15:00)

The Community Farm Chef will prepare some simple but delicious dishes using vegetables grown on the farm, explaining their techniques used as they go along.  Will, the Community Farm farmer, will talk about how the crops were grown in a sustainable way, without the use of damaging chemicals and supporting a nature-friendly environment.
