Ilana Winterstein is an award-winning writer and all-round bad-ass on attachment with the Bristol Old Vic, and Creative England & BFI’s South West Talent Module. She has recently written an interactive play for National Museums Liverpool to accompany their landmark exhibition ‘China’s First Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors’, and is working with Open Attic Theatre Company to write a new children’s show set to tour in 2019.
Ilana’s work has been performed in venues across the UK including The Wardrobe, Pleasance Theatre, Old Red Lion, BAC, The Albany, Tobacco Factory, Rich Mix, Tristan Bates and Tara Arts. As co-writer her work has been performed in venues including Buxton Opera House, Soho Theatre and The Lowry. She has worked with companies including National Youth Theatre, Coney, Hope St Ltd, Jericho House and Handheld Arts. Her non-fiction work has been published in the Huffington Post, New Internationalist, International Business Times, and The Colour of Money, among others.
