It’s time to lick your lips and dip your hips! Here is a glimpse into the 2021 tasty food line up. There’s a lot more to come, think of this as a selection of amuse–bouches.
Chef demo line up
We believe that delicious food, made with care, matters. Here are some of the chefs who’ll be showing us how to sharpen our culinary skills next year.
Chefs Rob Howell of Root Bristol, and Josh Eggleton of the Pony & Trap, will be teaming up to demo dishes from Rob’s new cookbook. Ukrainian chef and food writer, Olia Hercules, (pictured) named Observer Food Monthly’s Rising Star of 2015, will be bringing us a taste of a Ukranian Summer Kitchen. Great British Bake-Off’s Briony May will teach all you need to know about desserts, while eco-chef Tom Hunt showcases recipes fit for pleasure, people and planet.
Good food is at the heart of Valley Fest. We’ve got more big name line-up announcements coming in the new year. But if you want more information, you can check out these chef demo pages.
The Food Foundation will join us
We have teamed up with national charity, the Food Foundation, to host an inaugural youth food conference as part of 2021’s event. We’ll welcome 16-25 year olds, who’ll participate in their own special programme of talks, workshops and even a food-waste disco, Disco Soup!
As part of this event, the Food Foundation will be launching their Global Youth Food Charter as part of planned campaigning leading up to UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) when it will be taken to Glasgow and presented to Global Leaders and Policy makers. Over the festival weekend, young people will work together to produce a Youth Food Manifesto, which will then be taken to COP 26 in Glasgow next November and presented to policy-makers.
The full programme will be released over the coming months, but expect a very special line-up of well-known faces from the world’s of music, food and farming. Any young person attending Valley Fest 2021 will be invited to participate in conference activities.
The ticket prices are going up early next year so get in on the action whilst you still can and grab yourself a bargain.
